Sahara “Hoops” Aldridge
Nearly three years after Shannon and Amy Aldridge of Cape Girardeau, MO lost their 13 year-old daughter, Sahara “Hoops” Aldridge, to a malignant brain tumor, they decided to host an event that would bring the community together to raise money for the pediatric brain tumor research program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University, where Sahara received such excellent treatment and care.
Hoops for Life 5k Run/Walk and 1.6 Mile Power Walk
Come out and join us for the 5th Annual Hoops for Life 5K Run/Walk and the all new 1.6 Mile Power Walk! The event will be held in Cape Girardeau’s beautiful Kiwanis Park, at 8 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2014. We are working hard to make this special event one that you’ll be proud to attend. Run, walk, push a stroller, just come on out and help us support the pediatric brain tumor research program at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University, in memory of our precious daughter, Sahara “Hoops” Aldridge.
